Islas Ballestas
The Ballestas Islands are a group of small islands near the town of Paracas inthe Paracas district of the province of Pisco in the Ica region, on the southern coast of Peru. With all of the wildlife that you can see on a day trip to Las Islas Ballestas, you will feel closer to nature. The island that is known as Peru's Galapagos is located near the coastal town of Paracas and is home to a broad range of animals, including sea lions, pelicans, dolphins, and the endangered Humboldt penguin.
You might catch a glimpse of humpback whales if you visit Las Islas Ballestas between August and October, when they migrate north for mating season. Even with all of the enthusiasm about the animals here, you must stay away from them because the islands are protected, so no swimming or walking on the island is permitted. You may, however, take a boat trip around the island to appreciate its beauty.
