James Charles

James Charles Dickinson, born May 23, 1999, is a beauty YouTuber and makeup artist from the United States. Charles launched a YouTube channel where he posts makeup tips while working as a local makeup artist in his hometown of Bethlehem, New York. After a tweet displaying his makeup went viral, he became CoverGirl's first male brand ambassador in 2016.

In 2020, Charles hosted, directed, and co-produced Instant Influencer, a YouTube Originals reality competition series. He has collaborated with Morphe Cosmetics to produce an eyeshadow palette and a beauty collection, and he has garnered multiple honors for his work on social media, including two People's Choice Awards, three Streamy Awards, one Shorty Award, and one Teen Choice Award.
