You're in luck if you happen to be in Kuala Belait right now! Why? That's because you'll be getting a closer look at some Nepalese cuisine at Just Momos in Kuala Belait, which is around 140 kilometers from Brunei's capital, Bandar Seri Begawan.
Mr Rajesh Thapa and his wife, Mrs Sarita Thapa, own and operate Just Momos, which originally opened for business in January 2018. It is one of the two Nepalese restaurants in the Belait District. The Gurkha Palace, in Seria town, is the other.
Nepalese food, contrary to popular misconception, is not the same as Indian food and has its own distinct flavor. It's a "healthier" version of South Asian cuisine that doesn't sacrifice taste or quality. Spices were used by the eatery to bring the food to life! Mr Rajesh, the restaurant's proprietor, said it best when he said, "Cook with love, serve with love, and the cuisine will be delicious!"
