Kayangan Lake
Kayangan Lake is a freshwater lake in Coron with crystal clear water with underwater rock formations, caverns, and islets. For obvious reasons, it's a favorite photography location, and it's said to be the cleanest lake in the Philippines. Even non-swimmers may observe the undisturbed rock formations from overlooks surrounding the lake since the water is so clear that you can often see down to a depth of 10 meters. This is the beach to go to if you want a well-rounded aquatic experience, from swimming to views to cliff diving.
Coron is known for shipwreck diving and watching marine life in its coral gardens, but Kayangan Lake is a peaceful base and a fantastic place to balance activity with rest. The crystal blue water and breathtaking views are hard to beat. Climb the overlook's stairs for the best aerial perspective, or take a boat cruise to see the sights.
Although it can get congested during high tourist seasons, the water is great for swimming and snorkeling. The Busuanga Bay Lodge is a small boutique hotel with some seclusion, and the Sangat Island Dive Resort includes villas and beachside cabins for those seeking a more natural setting.
