Kendall Jenner
Kendall Jenner won the title of "world's best paid supermodel" for the first time, in 2018, when Forbes reported that she made $22.5 million that same year. The news had a significant effect on the modeling industry and all forms of social media.
In the past, the modeling profession was dominated by people who had "earned their ways up the ladders," (or are supposed to do so). The next generation emerged, who are called "Insta models" for their massive social media followings. They are headed by Kendall Jenner herself. The young model's career has been distinguished by incredible accomplishments and a healthy dose of controversy. Without a doubt, her dominance signifies a shift away from conventional, full-time marketing models and toward influencer marketing. Jenner then told Vogue Australia in 2019 that "a lot of people felt that since I came from a famous 'name,' it was much simpler for me to achieve where I am, but that is not the case."
Jenner's modeling career has been extensively featured on "Keeping Up With the Kardashians." She has been criticized for not taking the modeling career as professionally as other ladies. In 2010, she reportedly stormed out of a catwalk training session because she simply felt "bored." Yet, despite her association with reality television, Jenner's career as a model and influencer continues to soar.
