Kim Kardashian
Kimberly Noel Kardashian (previously West) is an American socialite, model, media personality, and entrepreneur who was born on October 21, 1980. She originally acquired public prominence as a friend and stylist to Paris Hilton, but her fame grew with the release of Kim Kardashian, Superstar, a sex film she shot in 2002 with her then-boyfriend Ray J. She became the richest reality show stars.
Kardashian has concentrated on her own companies in recent years, launching KKW Beauty and KKW Fragrance in 2017. She founded the shapewear brand Skims in 2019, which was initially known as "Kimono" but was renamed after massive outcry. Kardashian has also been more involved in politics, pressing President Donald Trump for prison reform and advocating for Alice Marie Johnson's pardon. She has repeatedly called for the acknowledgement of the Armenian genocide. Kardashian also intends to pursue a legal career by completing a four-year law apprenticeship overseen by the legal NGO #cut50, which was co-founded by Van Jones.
Kardashian was named on Time magazine's list of the 100 most influential people in 2015, as well as the richest reality show stars. Both detractors and fans have regarded her as exemplifying the concept of celebrity for the sake of celebrity. Her projected total earnings in 2015 exceeded US$53 million, making her the highest-paid reality television celebrity of the year.
