Kitadake
Mount Kita is a mountain in the Akaishi Mountains, in Yamanashi Prefecture. The 3 essential mountains of the Akaishi mountain variety are Mount Kita, Mount Aino, and Mount Nōtori. They are called "Shirane Sanzan" which means "Three White Peaks". Kita-dake is one of the highest mountains in Japan next to Mt.Fuji.
The call Mount Kita actually means "north mountain", regarding it being the northernmost of the 3 mountains. It is the second maximum mountain in Japan, after Mount Fuji, and is called the "Leader of the Southern Alps".
