Kolymbithres Beaches
Kolymbithres on the island of Paros is distinguished by its distinctive scenery of granite rock formations. This breathtaking stretch of coastline is really a series of little coves with sandy beaches. The Greek term "Kolymbithres" translates to "swimming pools," which appropriately depicts the shoreline's little bays with their calm, shallow waters. At Kolymbithres, amenities are more restricted than at larger resort beaches. However, sun loungers and parasols may be rented at several of the beaches. There are also water sports facilities.
A few traditional Greek tavernas are available for dining. The Anemos Taverna brings drinks to coastal reclining chairs. The Anemos Beach Club contains a snack bar and offers sun bed and water sports equipment rentals. Naoussa, a postcard-perfect coastal hamlet with classic Cycladic whitewashed buildings, is a short bus or car ride away from Kolymbithres. The beaches of Kolymbithres can also be reached by caiques (traditional fishing boats) departing from Naoussa harbor.'
