Santorini Beaches
Santorini's beaches are not as widely known as those of other Greek Islands. It does, however, include a number of different beaches that are well worth a visit. The island's distinctive volcanic geology lends these beaches an almost dreamlike aspect. The aptly titled Red Beach is a magnificent natural setting surrounded by cliffs of rusty-toned volcanic rock. The beach itself is fairly small, and the narrow coastline is filled with sun loungers and parasols throughout the summer. Because it is unlike any other beach in the world, Red Beach is a must-see attraction. Perissa Beach attracts visitors with its dramatic beachfront of volcanic lava-derived black sand and stones. The crystalline, blue seas are just as stunning.
Tourists will like Perissa Beach's amenities, which include a scuba diving center, bathrooms, showers, sun beds, and umbrellas. During the summer, a lifeguard is on duty at this Blue Flag beach. There are several hotels, restaurants, and cafés nearby. The Kamari resort is centered on another black-sand and pebble beach. A lovely whitewashed hamlet with several hotels, cafés, and restaurants along the beach. A promenade for strolling runs beside Kamari Beach's five-kilometer-long beach. The promenade is ideal for tourists, as it is dotted with stores and informal cafes.
Toilets, showers, sun loungers and parasols, as well as water sports facilities, are available at Kamari Beach. During the summer, a lifeguard patrols the beach. The waterways have been awarded the Blue Flag for cleanliness and safety.
