Kusakabe
Kusakabe is the oldest watercolor company and also one of the famous domestic brands in Japan. Kusakabe watercolors differ from brands like Holbein or Turner in that the color scheme seems to be somewhat inspired by Nihonga colors. In other words, the colors are traditional Japanese style, so each color has its own Japanese name. Kusakabe will balance between Nihonga sets (like Kissho Gansai or Holbein Irodori) and international production lines (Holbein artists', Turner artists'). In addition, KusKabe watercolor products are more convenient because the color is available in 5ml tubes instead of 15ml or full pans.
Kusakabe's pigments have a dense feel, and the ratio of semi-opaque and opaque colors is also higher than that of Holbein. Binder uses high-quality ingredients, so the color stays moist for a long time, never seen the phenomenon of mold even when stored in the palette under hot and humid weather.
