Lactalis
Lactalis is a French global dairy products firm headquartered in Laval, Mayenne, France, and controlled by the Besnier family. Besnier SA was the previous name of the business. The largest manufacturer of dairy products in the world, Lactalis is also the second-largest manufacturer of food items in France, after Danone. It is the owner of companies like Stonyfield Farm, Parmalat, Président, Siggi's Dairy, Sknemejerier, and Rachel's Organic. The primary products of Lactalis include yogurt, butter, cheese, powdered milk, infant formula, and milk beverages.
In 1933, André Besnier founded a little cheese-producing business; in 1968, he introduced the Président brand of Camembert. Lactalis, which is owned by the Belgian holding firm BSA International SA and is under the Besnier family's control, had global revenues of 16.5 billion euros in 2015 from 237 production facilities in 43 countries.
