Larry David
Larry David made his fortune co-creating "Seinfeld," but he served in the National Guard during the 1970s. He worked as a chauffeur, taxi driver, and bra salesman during that time.
He obtained a job writing sketches for "Saturday Night Live" in 1984. However, only one of his sketches aired throughout the year. David went up to a producer, enraged and irritated, and screamed "I'm done! I quit! F—- you!"
He later told his employee, Kenny Kramer (the real-life Kramer from "Seinfeld"), what he had done. "I'm such a moron," David lamented. Kramer advised him to simply go back in time and pretend it never occurred. And it worked for David.
"Sometimes you have to wander a bit and do what you don't want to in order to figure out what it is you're supposed to do." —Larry David
