Larry Ellison
Lawrence Joseph Ellison, better known as Larry Ellison, is the CEO of Oracle Corporation. He was born in the United States. In 1977, he started Oracle Corporation. Larry Ellison, a New York native, was recently named tenth on Forbes' list of the world's wealthiest people. He is the proud owner of Lanai, a Hawaiian island with a population of approximately 3000 people. He bought this island of Lanai for $300 million in 2012, and he owns at least ten residences on Malibu's swanky Carbon Beach. The island is ranked 41st among the United States' largest islands.
Oracle's chairman and former CEO are worth more than $10 billion this year, thanks to the company's successful shift to the cloud. In September, Ellison paid $345 million for a Lake Tahoe lodge. In 1997, the American Academy of Achievement presented Larry Ellison with the Golden Plate Award. The Bay Area Business Hall of Fame inducted Ellison in 2013. In 2020, he also started Sensei, a health company based on the Hawaiian Island of Lanai. He also joined the Tesla, Inc. board of directors after purchasing 3 million shares in 2018.
