Lenovo
Lenovo Group Limited, or simply Lenovo, is a Chinese multinational technology corporation that specializes in consumer electronics, personal computers, software, business solutions, and associated services. Desktop computers, laptops, tablet computers, smartphones, workstations, servers, supercomputers, electronic storage devices, IT management software, and smart televisions are among the company's products. IBM's ThinkPad business laptop line, the IdeaPad, Yoga, and Legion consumer laptop lines, and the IdeaCentre and ThinkCentre desktop computer lines are among its most well-known trademarks. Lenovo is the world's largest personal computer company by unit sales as of January 2021.
Lenovo operates in more than 60 countries and sells its goods in more than 180. The company's worldwide headquarters are in Beijing, China, and the company's operational headquarters are in Morrisville, North Carolina. Lenovo NEC Holdings, a joint venture with NEC that makes personal computers for the Japanese market, has research facilities in Beijing, Chengdu, Yamato (Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan), Shanghai, Shenzhen, and Morrisville (North Carolina, US). IBM's Think-line is developed entirely in Yamato and Morrisville.
Lenovo, on the other hand, continues to innovate with innovative designs year after year. Take, for example, the Yoga series of rotating-screen laptops, which led major PC makers such as Dell, HP, and Acer to include the same fundamental mechanism into their own 2-in-1 convertible laptop designs. The first foldable-screen PC, a ThinkPad, is also among Lenovo's high-concept gadgets.ThinkPads, ThinkBooks, and IdeaPads are some of Lenovo's traditional Windows laptops. (Gaming machines and 2-in-1 hybrids are a different story; we'll get to that later.)
