Ludivine
Ludivine is a modest restaurant in the city's downtown area. Chef Russ Johnson developed this restaurant in which he serves outstanding food and drinks in a laid-back, relaxed setting. He committed Ludivine from the start to the practice of true, scratch cooking, based on ancient techniques. Over the years, he has developed ties with local farms and ranches that are equally committed to environmentally friendly techniques, ensuring that the kitchen is always stocked with the freshest seasonal produce and the highest-quality meats and seafood available. The menu changes daily, based on the availability of fresh meat, vegetables, herbs, and fruits from local ranches and farms. A handmade linguini puttanesca, wagyu culotte sorghum, and glazed ponderosa farm duck breast are among the daily menu's highlights.
In the years afterward, Ludivine has developed a reputation as one of Oklahoma's culinary crown jewels. Saveur magazine and Redbook have featured the restaurant, and Chef Russ has been named to Food & Wine magazine's 2012 People's Best New Chef list, as well as the Best Chef for Best Chefs America.
