Lusaka Golf Club
Described as Zambia's most prestigious sports establishment, attracting golf enthusiasts from many different countries, Lusaka Golf Club is located in the heart of the capital, next to the State Building and a short distance from all major hotels Lusaka City Airport, which serves the military, shares a common boundary on the north side of the course.
When the golf course first opened in 1935, it ran through the popular residential area of Sunningdale and to what is now the airport's runway, but the layout to this day is a creation of Frank Pennink's early years 1960s.
Occupying a gently undulating nature, the tree-lined turf extends to 6,575 meters from the championship tees, played at 73. The back nine measures the rear almost 500 meters longer than the outer half, thanks largely to into a four-par layout, where two of them played opposites on holes 13 and 14.
