Marbo Cave
Mangilao's Marbo Cave is a historic landmark as well as a popular hiking and tourism site. Marbo Cave is definitely one of the most beautiful in Guam to explore. It is a hidden treasure about 20 minutes from Andersen AFB's back gate. Swim in the fresh water cave or take in the breathtaking landscape from the overlook area. At the view area, you'll also see the "whale's tail" rock. The route down to the caverns is one lane, with a few pullouts to let incoming traffic pass; we only had to pull over once on the way out. The drop inside the cave is a bit dangerous because you're going down some enormous boulders, but it's manageable even for young kids with assistance.
Once within the cave, there are two freshwater swimming spots. The main area, which is not too deep and features a rope swing. The color is beautiful and makes you want to jump in.
The magnificent view area is approximately 3.5 mins' walk from the caverns. You'll follow the route until it forks, then take a left out to the cliffs. This is a stunning view! However, the cave has been closed and labeled as unsafe so tourists can not come over.
