The Mindful Awareness Research Center (MARC) is a mate of the Norman Cousins Center for Psychoneuroimmunology within the Jane and Terry Semel Institute for Neuroscience and Human Behavior at UCLA. MARC's charge is to foster aware mindfulness across the lifetime through education and exploration to promote well-being and a more compassionate society. MARC offers classes and workshops to the general public, tutoring the chops of awareness across the lifetime; fosters and publicizes exploration to support the scientific benefits of aware mindfulness and brings awareness to professionals through UCLA's medical education program- including doctors, medical scholars, staff and faculty.
