Marianne Boesky Gallery
The goal of Marianne Boesky Gallery has been to represent and promote the creative endeavors of modern, international artists working in all mediums since the gallery's founding in 1996. In 2016, the gallery added the adjacent space on West 24th Street to its flagship site. The gallery's footprint in Chelsea has more than doubled by this new facility, enabling ever-ambitious solo and group exhibitions that highlight parallels and dynamic narratives among artists, media, and themes. The gallery launched a location in Aspen, Colorado, in 2017. This facility hosts rotating exhibitions by gallery artists as well as artists commissioned for special projects.
In 2005, Marianne Boesky Gallery relocated to Chelsea and occupied a chic, specially constructed location immediately adjacent to the High Line. Boesky reorganized her business in her Chelsea shop, adding an annex called Boesky East, after opening and closing venues on the Upper and Lower East Sides. Additionally, she runs a location in Aspen, Colorado. Boesky has displayed a variety of established, mid-career, and rising artists during her career, including well-known figures like Frank Stella and John Waters.
Presently, the Marianne Boesky Gallery represents approximately 30 renowned artists from various backgrounds and generations. These most recent additions serve as a reminder of the gallery's continual explorations of space and architecture, as well as its dedication to the requirements and interests of its diverse group of international artists.
