Maui Dharma Center
The Maui Dharma Center was founded in 1974 by the esteemed Tibetan Buddhist Lama, Kalu Rinpoche. The center has been a cherished space for the practice and study of Tibetan Buddhism for over 50 years.
Welcoming visitors with the majestic Great Paia Lha Bab Peace Stupa, a 27-foot-tall structure with a large prayer wheel, the center became a landmark for travelers worldwide. This sacred site, open daily for visitors, embodies the Enlightened Body, Speech, and Mind of the Buddha. The Stupa symbolizes peace, love, harmony, healing, and protection, offering a silent teaching to all who encounter it.
The Maui Dharma Center hosts annual events, including the Mahakala Retreat, Losar Tashi Delek, Monlam Chenmo, Saga Dawa, and Lha Bab Duchen. These events provide a unique opportunity for spiritual growth, community connection, and celebrating Tibetan Buddhist traditions.
With its rich history, serene ambiance, and commitment to the teachings of Tibetan Buddhism, the Maui Dharma Center is a haven for those seeking a deeper understanding of spiritual practices and a connection to the universal values of peace and goodness.
