According to research, the powerful antioxidants present in purple carrots have cancer-fighting qualities. 12-week research in which rats were exposed to a cancer-promoting substance discovered that rats fed a diet supplemented with purple carrot extract developed less cancer than those fed a standard diet. Similarly, in vitro studies show that anthocyanins may suppress the development and spread of cancer cells in the breast, liver, skin, blood, and colon. A study of 923 persons with colorectal cancer and 1,846 people without cancer found that women who ate a lot of purple vegetables and fruits had a reduced risk of colorectal cancer than women who ate a lot of green vegetables and fruits.

Other research has found comparable outcomes in both men and women. Furthermore, studies show that eating a lot of carrots may help prevent breast cancer. An assessment of 10 research including 141,187 women found that eating a lot of carrots of all kinds was connected with a 21% lower risk of breast cancer. Furthermore, diets heavy on vegetables, particularly carrots, have been associated with a lower overall risk of cancer.
