McDermott International, Inc. is an American multinational corporation specializing in engineering, procurement, construction and installation. They currently operate in the United States, the Middle East, the Caspian Sea and Asia Pacific.

McDermott and CB&I agreed to the merger in 2017 and were finalized in 2018. However, McDermott International (OTC: MCDIF) realized that due diligence had not lived up to expectations and suffered massive losses of millions of dollars after the merger. As a result, in January 2020, it filed for bankruptcy and canceled all common stock. I got my bankruptcy waiver in June 2020. The company reached #6 on our list of the Best American Construction Companies of 2021.
