Mediamatic

Mediamatic is a hub for experimental art forms centered on biology, food, sustainability, and society. Exhibitions, salons, seminars, workshops, and screenings are all part of what they do. In addition, they offer a fantastic vegan restaurant on the water's edge in Amsterdam, as well as conference facilities for groups of 10 to 200 individuals. Under Dutch legislation, Medimatic is a non–profit organization. Mediamatic has been involved in the investigation of new creative forms in the world of electronic media since its inception in 1983. The affiliate organizations Mediamatic Lab, Mediamatic IP, and Mediamatic Nettles are no longer operating.

The multi-purpose headquarters of Mediamatic on Dijksgracht acts as an incubator for a variety of sustainability, innovative agricultural, and bio-art projects. Smaller art or design initiatives can be seen throughout the complex, as well as a huge exhibition hall on its eastern side. After seeing what's going on at Mediamatic, visitors may unwind at the organization's waterfront restaurant, where vegan food is prepared using ingredients grown in an on-site aquaponics greenhouse. At Mediamatic, you may also participate in classes focusing on modern gastronomy and small-scale, ecological farming.
