  1. Mediamatic is a hub for experimental art forms centered on biology, food, sustainability, and society. Exhibitions, salons, seminars, workshops, and screenings are all part of what they do. In addition, they offer a fantastic vegan restaurant on the water's edge in Amsterdam, as well as conference facilities for groups of 10 to 200 individuals. Under Dutch legislation, Medimatic is a non–profit organization. Mediamatic has been involved in the investigation of new creative forms in the world of electronic media since its inception in 1983. The affiliate organizations Mediamatic Lab, Mediamatic IP, and Mediamatic Nettles are no longer operating.

The multi-purpose headquarters of Mediamatic on Dijksgracht acts as an incubator for a variety of sustainability, innovative agricultural, and bio-art projects. Smaller art or design initiatives can be seen throughout the complex, as well as a huge exhibition hall on its eastern side. After seeing what's going on at Mediamatic, visitors may unwind at the organization's waterfront restaurant, where vegan food is prepared using ingredients grown in an on-site aquaponics greenhouse. At Mediamatic, you may also participate in classes focusing on modern gastronomy and small-scale, ecological farming.

  2. Step inside Amsterdam's first adult-only artistic playground, a world of color and feel that invites you to explore and play. WONDR is a fantastic universe with 15 interactive exhibits (1200 m2) created in partnership with the city's most creative brains. Dive into the Netherlands' largest ball pit, swim in a pool of pink marshmallows, get lost in an extraterrestrial jungle, dance under a sparkling sky, and shout out loud.

WONDR is a multi-sensory pop-up experience that combines visual wonder with limitless imagination. Some of Amsterdam's greatest creative minds created a confetti-strewn playground of color and sensation. Their interactive exhibit allows visitors of all ages to interact with one another and explore: dance, sing, paint, swim, meet new friends and have a good time.

  3. ARCAM is housed in a tiny aluminum pavilion designed by René van Zuuk and finished in the fall of 2003. The ARCAM tiny, three-story edifice looks experimental, having been built in a traditional manner after six years of adaption from a temporary Nemo Museum building. It's worth seeing on its own because it's so well-executed until the tiny elements start to add up. It blends function and simplicity in a unique design.

ARCAM offers five separate exhibitions each year, one focusing on current innovations in architecture - both in the Netherlands and abroad, and the other on the history of Amsterdam architecture. The ARCAM panorama depicts an overview of city architecture throughout the previous 1200 years of its long history - from the terrain to the current city – on a single, not particularly large wall. You may find an intriguing, little exhibition - about current architecture or architecture from the past in relevance to the present - in a lovely, visually clean, and original structure. For those interested in the subject, this is a must-see.

  5. Picasso and Renssen side by side Renssen Art Gallery is located in the center of Amsterdam's Arts and Antiques District. In an attractive yet informal atmosphere, paintings, sculptures, and lithographs by globally collected Dutch artist Erik Renssen are presented. Their contemporary Renssen pieces are displayed beside an amazing collection of Picasso linocuts, lithographs, and pochoirs in the exhibition. A visit to Renssen Art Gallery is well worth it because of the combination of these two collections, which are mounted in hand-made and gilded frames.
