Megalodon's prey are whale-sized animals
With huge teeth, Megalodon's diet can be whales or other large fish, for example sharks, Megalodon's prey cannot be small. The diet can include dolphins to humpback whales. Scientists have found evidence of Megalodon's eating habits based on whale bones. Some of the remains also clearly saw the scratches of Megalodon's teeth. Some even saw shards of teeth embedded in them, revealing a brutal snap from millions of years ago.
To catch whale-sized prey, Megalodon had to open his mouth wide, even reaching 2.7 to 3.4 meters long, enough to swallow two adults. The whole jaw has a total of 276 teeth, and it is calculated that the bite force of this beast is among the top of the creatures that have ever lived on Earth. Apparently, the only thing keeping adult Megalodons from venturing too far into solid land was their enormous size, which would have rendered them as powerless as the galleons of 16th-century Spain.
