Megalodon is considered the creature with the largest jaws in the world. Just by opening its mouth, this shark can swallow up to 6 adults. In addition, they can swim at speeds of up to 70 km/h and are able to hunt prey for long periods of time.

This ancient creature is said to have the strongest bite in the world. Megalodon's bite force is about 8 tons, 6 times more powerful than the great white shark and 3 times more powerful than the T-rex.

Thanks to huge sharp teeth, strong bite force along with tremendous swimming speed, Megalodon consumed tons of fish every day, making them the most notorious killer in Earth's history. In 2008, a group of Australian and American scientists, through computer simulation, calculated the force of Megalodon attacking its prey.

The results showed that the bite force of this prehistoric shark could reach between 11 and 18.6 tons/cm2. Such a tremendous value is enough to crush a whale skull. Whale skulls were originally a delicacy for Megalodon and the main food of this species. In addition, today's great white shark bite force is only about 1.8 tons/cm2.
