Middle East University, Jordan was established in 2005 as a non-profit private higher education institution in the rural environment of Amman (population range of 1,000,000-5,000,000 inhabitants). Middle East University, Jordan (MEU) is a small (uniRank enrollment range: 5,000-5,999 students) coeducational Jordanian higher education institution that is officially accredited by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research of Jordan. MEU offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as pre-bachelor degrees (i.e. certificates, diplomas, associate or foundation degrees), bachelor degrees, master degrees, and doctorate degrees in a variety of fields.

This Jordanian higher-education school, which has been around for 15 years, has a selective admittance policy based on students' previous academic records and grades. With an acceptance rate of 50-60%, this Jordanian higher education school is considered to be somewhat selective. Students from all around the world are welcome to apply for admission. MEU also provides a library, lodging, sports facilities, financial aid and/or scholarships, study abroad and exchange programs, online courses and distance learning possibilities, as well as administrative services to students.
