University of Petra ranks last on the list of the best universities in Jordan. It is a non-profit private higher-education school located in the suburbs of Amman, Jordan. It was founded in 1991. (population range of 1,000,000-5,000,000 inhabitants). University of Petra (UOP) is a medium-sized (uniRank enrollment range: 7,000-7,999 students) coeducational Jordanian higher education institution that is officially accredited by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research of Jordan. The University of Petra (UOP) offers a variety of courses and programs that lead to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor's and master's degrees in a variety of fields.
This Jordanian higher-education school, which has been around for 29 years, has a stringent admission policy based on students' previous academic records and grades. With an acceptance rate of 80-90 percent, this Jordanian higher education institution is one of the least selective in the country. Students from all around the world are welcome to apply for admission. A library, accommodation, sports facilities, financial aid and/or scholarships, study abroad and exchange programs, as well as administrative services, are all available to students at UOP.
