Miners and Stockman's
When you visit the little village of Hartville, you'll be transported back in time! Despite the fact that only roughly 65 people live here year-round, the village is frequently visited by history buffs. Miners and Stockman's is the state's oldest restaurant, and Hartvile was the state's first settlement! Despite the lack of mobile phone coverage, you'll find a lively crowd and some delectable steaks, burgers, and salads.
The actual bar where you will be seated has a fascinating backstory! The Brunswicks hand carved the bar at Miners and Stockmen's in Germany in 1862. It was sent to New York, then hauled by train to Cheyenne before being brought by horse and carriage to Laramie. Before arriving in Hartville, it was in the Officers Club at Fort Laramie. When you visit this well-known pub, you can always expect it to be well-stocked. They have over 35 different types of liquor, a large wine selection, and vodka from all over the world. During Prohibition, the pub remained a speakeasy, and customers gathered below to drink their problems away. A pool table and unique wall décor can be seen in the restaurant's back room. You'll see photographs from the previous century that depict the Cowboy State. You may expect to see local taxidermy on the walls, like in any Wyoming steakhouse and bar.
Miners and Stockmen's can accommodate you if you want to eat outside in the crisp mountain air! On a nice day, their huge outside terrace is a great spot to dine. The menu features typical Wyoming comfort cuisine that hasn't altered much over the years. The Miner's Cut rib eye is shown here, and it's available in surf 'n' turf style. There's always a wide selection of fresh sides to complement your meal. They not only have delicious and tender steaks flowing out of the kitchen all night, but they also have some of the greatest dessert in the area.
