MIT Museum

The MIT Museum, which opened in 1971, houses extensive collections of technology-related exhibits, including those on artificial intelligence, architecture, robotics, and other topics. The MIT Museum features engaging collections, events, and activities inspired by MIT's cutting-edge research and discoveries. The MIT Museum, located near the Central Square Cultural District, is close to restaurants, theaters, music venues, and local ice cream parlors that you can visit after a day of heavy scientific sightseeing.


People from all over the world come to learn about the role of technology and research in shaping the world. Aside from exhibits, the MIT Museum offers a variety of activities for school students in the building, such as group tours and events such as workshops, art projects, contests, and performances. A special week-long programming contest is scheduled for school vacation weeks in February and April. Feb Fest is another event organized by MIT to help students learn about various STEM topics.
