Monarch Beach Resort

In Dana Point, the premium Monarch Beach Resort lies on a hill overlooking the gorgeous Pacific Ocean. St. Regis boasts its own golf course (with views of the ocean) and a large spa. Private balconies or patios are available in all of the deluxe rooms and suites. Rooms with views of the resort, rooms with views of the pool, and others with complete ocean views are available. Patios and private fire pits are available in several of the ground-floor rooms. All of the rooms and suites include 55-inch televisions and spa-like marble bathrooms.

At the spa, there is a large main pool as well as a smaller lap pool (for spa guests only). The beach is a five-minute walk down the hill, or you may take a 15-minute golf cart shuttle back and forth. Beach chairs and umbrellas are provided free of charge, and cabanas and daybeds can be rented. Beach toys, snorkeling, and water sports equipment are also available for hire at the hotel's Beach Club. For foodies, the resort is ideal. AVEO, a Mediterranean-inspired restaurant, and 33 Degrees, a more casual option, are two dining options. A Starbucks and a small take-out market are also available.
