Mondelēz International
Mondelez International Inc. is a multinational food company based in Chicago, Illinois, that employs approximately 80,000 people worldwide. After manufacturing was moved from the grocery-food products category in North America, Kraft Food Inc's global snack and food brands were included. Thomas H. McInnerney and Edward E. Rieck established the company in 1923. The business is focused on producing chocolate, biscuits, chewing gum, candies, and powdered drinks. The company has operations in about 170 nations and is listed as the 117th largest US corporation by total sales on the 2018 Fortune list. On Instagram, they have 53.9k followers.
The company was founded in order to pursue a rollup strategy (many small companies in the same market are acquired and merged). A company called Kraft Cheese was established in 1924. The corporation announced the union of its coffee division with Dutch company Douwe Egberts in 2014. A prominent participant in the fast-growing croissants and baked pastries market in Central and Eastern Europe, Chipita S.A, of Greece was acquired by Mondelez International in 2021 as part of a deal. As a result, the US brand is becoming stronger and more well-known throughout the world.
