Montenegro Film Festival

For decades, the Montenegro Film Festival has presented an international program of some of the best and most cutting-edge films and documentaries from around the world. Along with the films on display, the festival's gorgeous location is the star of the show. It takes place in the historical backdrop of Herceg Novi's old town, with the main theater being an ancient castle known as the Bloody Tower that overlooks the Bay of Kotor, as well as several other unique outdoor theaters strewn about the town.

This festival has been going on for 30 years and has managed to keep its essence. It is one of the most effective ways to learn about different regions by watching their films. The community is immersed in the majestic ambiance of this festival as calming background music is played across the town. The entire town gets so alive and colorful. There is also a large theater, the Bloody Tower, which is located in one of the old fortresses, as well as some outdoor theater that can be found throughout the town.
