Morningstar.Com
Morningstar's research, expertise, analysis, and tools are trusted by the world's largest investment companies, and the same knowledge is now available to retail investors through Morningstar Investor. With over 8 million users per month, it is considered the most visited finance website. Morningstar Investor could be a useful investment if you're ready to start selecting your own stocks, mutual funds, and exchange-traded funds, managing your own portfolio and identifying diversification opportunities. Morningstar began giving its Morningstar Rating for mutual funds in 1985 and has steadily added additional features and refinements since then, culminating in the Morningstar Investor offering available today.
Morningstar is not a brokerage, to be clear. It provides unbiased research, analysis, commentary, and insight to help investors make a variety of decisions, from individual investment selections to asset allocation. While there is some overlap between the research and analysis provided by brokerages and Morningstar's services (and many brokerages make research from Morningstar and other providers available to account holders), the depth and breadth of Morningstar's Investor service is an excellent supplement to help investors make confident decisions.
Morningstar's Portfolio Manager assists you in properly diversifying your assets, evaluating asset allocation and sector weightings, and tracking your financial objectives. Members also receive full access to the Portfolio X-Ray, which includes a slew of tools to assist you in determining the proper allocation and level of diversity for you.
