Most European chocolate brands haven't been around as long as Moser Roth. After all, it's been around since 1841! As a nearly 200-year-old brand, Moser Roth has quite the backstory to tell. Moser Roth's past is as interesting as its premium chocolates; it was one of the country's largest chocolate factories before being devastated during World War II.
The 85 percent cocoa dark chocolate bar from Moser Roth is a respectful signature. Despite the high cocoa content, it was more aromatic than bitter. It wasn't particularly sweet, but the chocolate's creaminess was simply exceptional. On the palate, the subtle sense of bitterness as I swallowed the chocolate was rather pleasant.
