Most of the Founding Fathers were young men when they created the Nation.

When the Nation was founded, the majority of the Founders were still quite young. They are sometimes depicted as elderly men in historical photographs and sketches, yet they were actually fairly young when they made contributions to the nation's founding family.

In addition to being the only president to have no objections to his election as the first president of the United States, George Washington was 43 years old when he was given command of the American Army during the war. When he was older, Thomas Jefferson penned the Declaration of Independence. Another person was James Madison, he was only 36 years old, James Madison participated in the Constitutional Convention, one of the most significant gatherings in American politics.

Many other founding fathers were successful at an early age, such as John Jay, who was named the first Chief Justice of the Supreme Court at the age of 43, and Alexander Hamilton, who was named Secretary of the Treasury at the age of 33.
