Mugham World International Festival
Mugham World International Festival is a cultural event, also known as the Shusha Festival, is hosted in Shaki. This festival, which was first conducted on the initiative of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation in March 2009, quickly acquired popularity, and well-known artists and scholars have participated in subsequent festivals held in 2011, 2013, and so on.
During the international festival, a three-day mugham scientific conference was organized. Mugham World International Festival was attended by over 30 scientists, performers, and supporters of traditional eastern music from over 16 nations. During the festival, presentations of the musical cultures of Azerbaijan, Iran, Turkey, Pakistan, India, Tunisia, Uzbekistan, and Tajikistan were delivered, and the topic of the First Nagorno-Karabakh War was also discussed.
