Mumbo Island
Rounding out our list of the most beautiful islands in Malawi is Mumbo Island. This island, unlike most other island locations in the vicinity, has never been inhabited and remains in its natural condition. Mumbo Island is perfect for energetic outdoor enthusiasts because of this, as well as the emphasis on non-motorized watersports. At the same time, the island's isolation and tranquil environs mean that there is no shortage of possibilities for leisure.
Mumbo Island Camp provides a private retreat on an otherwise lonely island in Lake Malawi National Park. Guests may experience plenty of serenity and barefoot luxury throughout their stay because they are surrounded by nature. Active visitors may explore granitic islands in a fresh-water Rift Valley lake teeming with a healthy cichlid population thanks to excellent kayaking, snorkeling, and SCUBA facilities.
Mumbo Island Camp is set within a private concession area, ensuring solitude and providing visitors with the opportunity to relax and unwind in surroundings reminiscent of a tropical island paradise. The camp is made completely of wood, thatch, and canvas and adheres to the most stringent eco-architecture standards. The camp features six big safari tents, each of which is fully equipped and has its own shaded observation deck and private hammock. Other amenities include an eating area, a bar, and a watersports gazebo.
