My Youth Romantic Comedy Is Wrong, As I Expected
My Youth Romantic Comedy Is Wrong, As I Expected is a Japanese book series that started in 2011 and ended with the 14th volume in 2019 (with three shorter books also published in the series). It's about a high school student named Hachiman Hikigaya, who is often pessimistic and doesn't like being around people.
He's made to join the school's Service Club, where he meets Yukino Yukinoshita, a brilliant but distant girl, and Yui Yuigahama, a cheerful and outgoing girl. The Service Club's job is to help other students with their problems, and through this, Hachiman starts to rethink his views on life and relationships.
The story is about human relationships, personal growth, and the challenges of high school. It's known for its sharp and thoughtful writing style, as Hachiman gives a unique and sometimes gloomy perspective on how people interact.
This book series has been turned into an anime, and the last season of the anime came out in 2020. The anime shows what happens in the story. But the main level is in the books, and there are more books to come.
