NECOM House (formerly NITEL Tower, formerly NET Building), a 158-meter skyscraper in Lagos, is officially the tallest building in all of Nigeria and West Africa.
Built in 1979, NECOM House is the headquarters of Nigerian Telecommunication Limited, a former state-owned telecommunication company. The spire at the top of the building serves as a lighthouse for the port of Lagos.
The NECOM House was designed by Ghanaian architecture firm Nickson Borys and Partners and built by British firm Costtain Group. It has claimed the title from Cocoa House and become the tallest building in Nigeria.
