Neroli essential oil is a relic from the past, first produced in 17th century Italy and worn by Princess Anne Marie Orsini of Nerola. As you'd expect from an essential oil created for the powerful – and incredibly wealthy – Orsini family, this oil costs an eye-watering $354 per ounce making it one of the most expensive essential oils. Neroli essential oil, derived from the flower of a bitter orange tree, has a sweet scent and is used by perfume makers looking for a sweet and spicy aroma.

This oil is well known for its anti-inflammatory properties and is frequently used to relieve stress and anxiety, in addition to its wonderful aroma. Other advantages of Neroli essential oil include its ability to give your skin a more youthful appearance and reduce the visibility of any scars or blemishes that you apply it to. Neroli oil is also thought to relieve high blood pressure, other skin conditions, and even depression, which adds to its desirability – and high price tag.

There are even claims that Neroli oil is used in the production of Coca-Cola, though such claims have yet to be proven, and its high price makes it unlikely to be used in such a low-cost beverage.
