New Old Songs
New Old Songs is a remix album by American rap rock band Limp Bizkit. Released on December 4, 2001, the album contains hip-hop remixes of songs from the band's albums Three Dollar Bill, Yall and Significant Other, and Chocolate Starfish and the Hot Dog Flavored Water. The sound of New Old Songs is predominately based on hip hop music, in particular rap infused with rock music styles and culture.
Despite the fact that no singles were released, it was certified Gold by the RIAA in the United States in February 2002. It also received Gold certification from Austria (IFPI Austria), Canada (Music Canada), and the United Kingdom (BPI). The album charted at number 26 on the Billboard 200. The album received two out of five stars from the Rolling Stone Album Guide. Martin Charles Strong rated the compilation a 5 out of 10 in The Essential Rock Discography. Furthermore, it was ranked 12th on the Austrian Albums chart and 15th on the Hungarian Albums chart.
