On China's east coast, Ningbo is a charming coastal city with a wealth of attractions. Huge green mountains and a variety of tropical islands are just off the coast, providing breathtaking natural scenery. It also has strong cultural origins, and the artifacts and monuments from its 7000-year past are not only numerous but also breathtakingly beautiful.
A short drive from the city, Xikou is well-known for being the birthplace of Jiang Jieshi, a well-known emperor during the Kuomingtang period. A must-see in the region, Mount Xuedou is located in this small ancient town. You can decide to travel along one of the several pathways available for sight-seeing in the region. Picking a route that passes by the Xuedou Temple and the 600-foot-tall Xuedou Waterfall is what we advise.
Make sure to visit Jiang's mother's tomb if you could only see one thing in the town. Start at the gate that is flanked by enormous pillars to welcome you in; it is located in a memorial park on Xuedou Mountain. As you continue up the path, further beautiful tombs, pavilions, and a nunnery will come into view. You will eventually reach the tomb.
