Northbridge International School Cambodia (NISC) is a leading English-speaking international school in Teuk Thlar commune, Sen Sok area, Phnom Penh, Cambodia. With a rich history and commitment to diversity, NISC has grown into one of the country's largest international schools, welcoming more than 800 students from more than 40 nationalities. The teaching staff represents more than 15 nationalities.
Northbridge International School Cambodia follows a structured academic calendar, divided into two semesters starting in August and January, consisting of 180 days of study for students and 190 days of work for the dedicated faculty. As an International Baccalaureate World School, NISC offers comprehensive IB programs: IB Primary Program (PYP), the IB Secondary Program (MYP), and the IB Diploma Program (DP).
The accreditation of the school by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) and the East Asia Council of Overseas Schools (EARCOS) highlights its dedication to excellence even more. Established in 1996, NISC opened in September 1997 under the leadership of Mr. David Eaton.
Originally owned by Northbridge Communities Ltd., a significant development occurred in 2007 when Cambodia-based Royal Group acquired the entire Northbridge project, consolidating the housing and school community internationally. NISC's 20-acre green campus is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, including a STEM Makerspace, a dance studio, science labs, design studios, a gym and vast green fields.
In July 2014, Northbridge International School Cambodia joined the Nord Anglia Education family, a global network of more than 80 international schools. While Nord Anglia oversees the management and operations of NISC, Royal Group retains ownership of the asset, promoting a collaborative and global educational experience for students.
