Nosy Be is an island 8 km off the northwest coast of Madagascar in the Mozambique Channel, with several smaller islands lying nearby, including Nosy Komba, Nosy Sakatia, and Nosy Tanityles. Together they form the beautiful Nosy Be archipelago. Nosy Be Island is a volcanic island with 11 crater lakes. It is known to be home to one of the smallest species of frogs and chameleons in the world and is home to leopard chameleons and various species of lemurs. Nosy Be Island is perfect for discovering amazing marine life with its beautiful coral reef and the chance to swim with sea turtles. You even get a chance to see humpback whales and whale sharks.
Nosy Iranja is one of the most famous and beautiful islands of the Nosy Be archipelago, located about 40 kilometers southwest of Nosy Be Island. Nosy Iranja's charm lies in her pure beauty. It is made by two Archipelagos, connected by a dreamy 1.2 km long stretch of white sand, which can be crossed at low tide. Nosy Iranja Be is a typical fishing village. Don't forget to walk up to the lighthouse. At the top of the island, you'll have amazing views of Nosy Iranja's iconic sands and clear blue waters.
