The first episode of the Taiwanese BL drama series "Not Me" aired on June 18, 2021. Yu Xing Fei (played by Yorke Sun) and Yan Shu Ren (played by Ben Wu), two college students who meet by coincidence and form a deep friendship that later develops into a romantic relationship, are the main characters of the program.

Unlike Yan Shu Ren, who is timid and introverted and has anxiety, Yu Xing Fei is a self-assured, gregarious student who is well-known for his charisma and beautiful looks. Despite their differences, the two guys develop a bond and start to talk openly about their problems and past traumas.

Yu Xing Fei and Yan Shu Ren encounter obstacles from their families, friends, and society as their romance develops. They also have to deal with their own anxieties and inadequacies, particularly when it comes to telling their loved ones they are gay. They learn to support one another and get through these obstacles as the series progresses.

"Not Me"
won praise for its endearing plot, likable characters, and accurate depiction of LGBTQ+ relationships in Taiwanese culture. The program also touches on significant societal topics including mental health and the prejudice towards homosexuals. Both viewers and critics have complimented the on-screen chemistry of the two lead actors, making this a well-liked addition to the BL drama subgenre.
