One of a kind Food Experiences
Although Mexican food may be well-known throughout the world, if you believe you know what it really is, think again. Compared to Mexican food found outside of Mexico, it is ten times better and completely different. Abandon sour cream, fajitas, and hard shell tacos. Think instead of tiny, soft corn tortillas stuffed with meat like pig, chorizo, or Al Pastor (akin to hog shawarma), then topped with onion, coriander, and a variety of salsas. These tacos are authentically Mexican and are available all over Mexico. But tacos aren't the only thing Mexican cuisine is known for. There are many different types of Mexican food, such as gorditas (pocket-shaped patties filled with meat or vegetables), tostadas (fried tortillas with toppings like ceviche), and quesadillas (tortillas filled with meat and cheese).
Additionally, there are a ton of regional specialties, especially in Oaxaca, which is regarded as Mexico's gastronomic capital. Mole, a traditional sauce made from fruits, nuts, chilies, and spices, is the one item you absolutely must have while you are here. There are really seven different kinds of mole, each created with slightly different ingredients, but the most well-liked variety is the one that is typically served with chicken and rice in Oaxacan restaurants. Don't forget to sample tlayuda, an Oaxacan delicacy frequently referred to as pizza in Mexico.
