Orange Marmalade

Popular romance and supernatural manhwa "Orange Marmalade" is written and illustrated by Seok Woo. The plot takes place in a universe where vampires exist but make an effort to conceal their existence from people. High school student and vampire Baek Ma-ri serves as the story's primary character. She strives to lead a regular life among people and has always kept her true nature hidden. Her relationship with Jung Jae-min, a popular and extroverted student who despises vampires, complicates her life, though. As Ma-ri and Jae-min's relationship develops, they encounter many difficulties and disagreements as a result of society stereotypes and misunderstandings towards vampires. The manhwa looks at issues like acceptance, love, and the fight to blend in while hiding one's true identity.

As the protagonists negotiate their emotions and deal with the results of their choices, "Orange Marmalade" dives into the emotional problems they experience. It also emphasizes the value of respect and tolerance among other species or groups. The manhwa's captivating romance, interesting supernatural themes, and examination of societal prejudice and discrimination all contributed to its popularity. It explores the complexities of relationships, both romantic and platonic, as well as the costs people are ready to bear in exchange for acceptance and love. Additionally, "Orange Marmalade" was turned into a South Korean television drama, boosting its notoriety and appeal. The adaptation added its own spin to the plot while keeping the core of the manhwa.
