Orange Marmalade by Seokwo

The South Korean manhwa "Orange Marmalade" was written by Seokwoo. It was initially released in 2011, and afterwards it was serialized on the webcomic website Naver Webtoon. The novel takes place in a world where vampires and humans coexist, although they face prejudice and are frequently compelled to conceal their true identities. Teenage vampire Baek Ma-ri, who attends a human high school and makes an effort to keep her actual identity hidden from her peers, serves as the story's primary character.

The manhwa addresses issues of prejudice, discrimination, and acceptance. It examines the difficulties that humans and vampires both encounter while attempting to live in harmony in a society where they are so dissimilar. A significant romance component is also included in the narrative as Ma-ri develops feelings for Jung Jae-min, a human lad who is initially blind to her actual origin.

Despite a sluggish beginning, the manhwa is lauded for its examination of the struggles encountered by those who are "different." Many romance manhwas fail to address serious social themes, but this one does. Additionally, a Korean drama series based on it debuted in 2015. For its original approach to the vampire subgenre and its examination of social themes, "Orange Marmalade" has received high recognition. The manhwa has developed a sizable following both domestically and abroad after being converted into a Korean television drama.
