Ouzoud Falls
Ouzoud Falls, possibly the most well-known waterfalls in Morocco, are sometimes cited as the most beautiful waterfalls in all of North Africa. If you only have a day to spend on vacation, you can easily travel there from Marrakech by taking a day excursion to the Middle Atlas Mountains' region of Azilal. The tumbling cascades are a magnificent sight to witness from atop the reddish-brown, angular rocks. The tallest fall, which extends around the broad cliffs, is around 100 meters high.
It's a fairly unusual sight, composed of numerous separate waterfalls of various widths and heights. Small boats can be seen bobbing in the river below, and beautiful rainbows are frequently seen in the spray. It takes about an hour to hike to the base of the falls, passing through orchards and forests with numerous olive trees, pomegranate trees, and several species of mosses. The most curious animal in the region is the Barbary macaque, which frequently approaches visitors in the hopes of obtaining food. Wild cats, reptiles, and birds are some of the other wildlife that inhabit the area around the waterfalls. Although you could get wet, taking a boat ride at the bottom is a nice opportunity to see the falls from a new angle.
